The DKW-2 Wire Chairs by Charles and Ray Eames echo the form of the Eames Plastic Chairs. The spot-welded wire shell gives the metal chairs their transparent look, while the wooden base of the DKW-2 lends a warm and casual contrast to the essentially technical appearance of the design. The metal components of DKW have a black powder-coated finish; the four wooden legs come in various shades of maple.
